Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra launched

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was launched today for the State at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Utlou, Bishnupur.
The programme was attended by Education Minis- ter Th Basanta Kumar, former Union Minister Th Chaoba Singh, Chief Secretary Dr Vineet Joshi, Addl Chief Secretary MH Khan, Commissioner (Agriculture) RK Dinesh, Commissioner (CAF&PD) Bobby Wai-khom and other senior officials of the Government of Manipur.
Education Minister Th Basanta Kumar led the gathering in taking "Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat" pledge.
The dignitaries also flagged off an IEC van.
As part of the programme, video clippings of various schemes of different departments were shown.
The schemes include PMAY(U), Ayushman Bharat; Jal Jeevan Mission, MNREGA, PMAY (R), Ujjawala Mission, PM Kisan, SMAM, PMKSY and RKVY.
Beneficiaries of various schemes interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference.
Giving keynote address at the function, Commissioner Agriculture, RK Dinesh said Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was launched by the Government of India to deliver benefits of various schemes to the people.
He said that the Yatra will be held in each district for three days.
During these three days, IEC (Information, Education & Communication) van will visit every nook and corner of the villages and give awareness on various schemes taken up by the Government.
A health camp was also organized at Kha Sanjenbam.
It may be mentioned that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was introduced by the Government of India on November 15 on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas with the aim to raise awareness through outreach activities.
The objective of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to reach out to the vulnerable who are eligible for various schemes but have not avail benefit so far.
It aims to disseminate information and generate awareness on various schemes, interact with beneficiaries and effect enrolment of potential beneficiaries.
