The Government of India has denied holding any political dialogue with the NSCN-K, according to an official clarification letter issued by New Delhi to NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah and chairman Isak Chisi Swu.
Reports from the NSCN-IM's well placed source said that New Delhi had sent its official clarification to the NSCN-IM leadership a few days ago with regard to the matter which had strained relationships between the two parties currently involved in peace talks.
Informing Newmai News Network today, after the outfit leaders' closed-door meeting held this morning, NSCN-IM Home Ministry sources said that the Government of India had clarified officially to the NSCN-IM leadership saying "New Delhi did not hold any political dialogue with the NSCN-K in recent time in the capital".
The clarification letter is also reported to have mentioned that New Delhi was really committed to the ongoing Indo-Naga peace process.
The clarification letter also reportedly said that the Government of India would, in no way, undermine the Indo-Naga peace process but is extremely keen to solve the more than five decades old vexed Naga problem.
Meanwhile, a senior NSCN-IM leader said that with the proposed arrival of Th Muivah and Isak Swu to New Delhi and the subsequent possible trip to Nagaland, elaborate arrangements and preparations have resumed which was abruptly halted two weeks ago following the differences between the Government of India and NSCN-IM.
Reports said that the visit of Th Muivah and Isak Swu to Nagaland would depend on the outcome of the talks in New Delhi.
The two NSCN-IM supremos are slated to reach the capital in the midnight of December-5 or in the early hours of the following day (Dec 6).Reports also said that sharp-shooters of the NSCN-IM in civies had been put to full alert in all the strategic points both in Kohima and at Dimapur.
NGOs leaders will also avail the "finest moment" while spending their time with the visiting NSCN-IM leaders in Nagaland.
