A State level Monitoring Committee to monitor and review the progress of works relating to construction of Capitol Project has been constituted.
Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh issued an order in this connection yesterday.
The 12-member committee is headed by the Chief Minister as Chairman and Commissioner (Planning) as member secretary.
Other members of the Committee are Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Works Minister, Art and Culture Minister, Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Chairman of Programme Implementation Committee, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Works), Principal Secretary (Finance), Commissioner/Secretary (Arts and Culture) and Secretary of Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The function and other terms of reference of the Committee include reviewing the progress of implementation of the Works, holding meeting once in a fortnight to review the work progress and to ensure Public Works Department to prepare the necessary note for discussion in the meeting.
