Seva Hi Sangathan-II: MK Preshow Shimray visits remote villages of Chingai AC

As a part of the 'Sevi Hi Sangathan-II: Reaching the Unreached', the saffron party leaders of 45-Chingai AC led by former Deputy Speaker & ex-MLA Chingai AC, MK Preshow Shimray visited the Sagolmang area of Western Tangkhul villages such as Kachai, Hoomi, L Phungdhar, Maichon, Tora and Champhung on June 27 .
MK Preshow Shimray in continuation of his extensive tour of 45-Chingai AC, accompanied by host of BJP leaders including Luckmi Horam, president 45-Chingai BJP Mahila Morcha; Chingriso A Chihui, general secretary (Org) 44-Ukhrul BJP Mandal; Yuva leaders and Party workers distributed ration, medicines, face masks, hand sanitizers, oximeters, solar lamps and financial assistance to Covid Relief committees of the respective villages.
Speaking on the occasion, Preshow Shimray conveyed the message and gratitude of Chief Minister N Biren Singh to the villagers for their support and cooperation to the State Government in observing and maintaining strict SOP's during the lockdown.
Striking a balance of optimism and realism, Preshow Shimray presented an account of the various activities carried out by the Government to combat covid -19 in the State under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister including setting up oxygen plants in all district headquarters and strengthening health care infrastructures, the Central government's support through the Health Ministry, etc.
He also held a brief meeting with the villagers and Covid Relief Committee to ensure that the benefits of Ayushman Bharat, Chief Minister Haksel gi Tenbang and various flagship programmes reach the villages under Chingai A/C.He listened to the grievances and requests of the villagers on issues of recent reduced Rice quota allocations under PMGKAY & NFSA and the transportation charges incurred.
MK Preshow called on the Sagolmang villages to not lose hope in these testing times and assured that he would take up the grievances and difficulties of the area with the support of the 45- BJP Chingai Mandal to the higher authorities.
Acknowledging the tireless efforts made by the frontline workers, village Covid Relief Committees, media fraternities and all stakeholder, he thanked and appealed for a collective effort and to stay informed about verified news and government orders & notifications.
With talks of a possible third wave -delta variant, the vaccine is the strongest weapon in this fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, he added.
MK Preshwor further conveyed the message of PM Narendra Modi's "Maan ki Baat" and urged the villagers to get vaccinated at the earliest, shed the hesitancy and not to trust rumours.
