Moreh panics over flouting of Covid-19 protocol

In what could be termed as complete carelessness, a person belonging to a family put under containment zone after one member of the family contracted COVID-19 came out to the market and purchased vegetables, thereby creating fear among the people.
The incident occurred at Moreh town on Friday morning.
Police have warned the family not to repeat such acts and asked entire members of the family not to come out until denotification of the containment zone.
One each member of two families in Moreh Ward No 5 tested COVID-19 positive and both the families were put under containment zone as positive members are in home isolation.
However, a person belonging one of the two families under containment zone came out to market and pur -chased vegetables on Friday morning.
Without taking any care, the person purchased daily essentials including Vegetables from a crowded place.
After learning that the person belongs to one of the families put under containment zone, police were informed.
Later, a team of Moreh police led by OC M Robindro used loudspeaker to inform all the members of the family under containment zone not to leave their homes until denotification of the containment zone.
He also asked all denizens to wear face mask while in public places and maintain social and physical distance.
A shop owner told this correspondent that it was uncivilised of the person belonging to a family under containment zone to come out and purchase goods from market.
The uncivilised act of the person has not only frightened the entire people of Moreh town but also increased chance of spreading the virus, The shop owner also said that government alone cannot fight COV1D-19 and everyone needs to understand the pandemic and fight collectively to defeat it.
