300 Thoubal, Kakching denizens in 18-44 age group jabbed

Thoubal district administration of and District Health Society on Monday launched Covid-19 vaccination programme for people in the age group of 18-44 years for Thoubal district at Health and Wellness Centre, Khangabok Part III Khunou.
Speaking on the occasion, district family welfare officer Dr Ksh Memcha advised denizens in the said age group to enrol online for vaccination at the earliest possible.
Vaccination will be done for the age group every Wednesday at Thoubal Wangkhem and Khangabok Part III Khunou Health and Wellness Centres, she informed.
Dr Memcha continued that for people above the age of 45, vaccination process will continue as normal at the designated centres.
On the opening day of the vaccination programme, 200 people were inoculated in the district.
Meanwhile, vaccination of people in the age group of 18-44 years in Kakching district also began on Monday at Kakching Wairi Urban Primary Health Centre with 100 beneficiaries vaccinated on the first day.
The vaccination process was monitored by Kakching chief medical officer Dr Thaodem Rajen Singh, district family welfare officer Dr Surjitkumar Haobam, district surveillance officer Dr Kiran Elangbam, District Health Society programme manager Naorem Romen, district finance manager Yambem Shyamo, Kakching Wairi Urban Primary Health Centre MO in-charge Dr Pukhrambam Robin and AYUSH MO Dr Yumnam Gopalsana.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Th Rajen informed that 100 people in the age group of 18-44 years who have registered online will be vaccinated every Wednesday at Kakching Wairi Urban Primary Health Centre and Waikhong Health and Wellness Centre.
