Sadar Hills Kuki CSOs call off bandh

The Kuki civil bodies under the banner of Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills have decided to call off its proposed 48 hour total bandh proposed to begin from midnight of May 30 after reaching an agreement with the Govt during a meeting yesterday.
The Kuki civil bodies including Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills under the leadership of Kuki Inpi, Manipur had a marathon meeting yesterday at the Chief Minister's office chamber.
The State Government was represented by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, Dy CM Gaikhangam, IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip and Saikul AC MLA Yamthong Haokip.
Thangkam Lupheng, spokesperson of Sadar Hills Kuki CSOs said that an agreement was arrived at during the meeting.
After agreeing to settle the killing of Paokholen Khongsai at B Gamnom according to the Kuki customary law, the body was claimed today around 11 am from JNIMS morgue.
Hence, the Kuki civil bodies of Sadar Hills under the banner of Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills have decided to call off the proposed 48 hour Sadar Hills total bandh.
Sadar Hills Kuki civil society organizations under the banner of Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills including KISG, KWU, KWOHR, KSO, TSA and other local bodies called the 48 hour total bandh at Sadar Hills from midnight of May 30 over the alleged lawlessness, over the B Gamnom killing on May 23 .
