The High Court of Manipur has suspended the order issued by the Health Director on May 20 which cancelled the registration certificate given to Advanced Speciality Hospital and Research Institute, Palace Compound as well as the earlier office memorandum of January 13 this year.
After perusing a writ petition filed by the hospital authority and after hearing counsels of both the petitioner and the respondents, Justice Kh Nobin Singh issued a ruling yesterday which suspended the office memoranda of January 13 and May 20 till the disposal of a revision petition which shall be filed by the petitioner within two weeks.

The High Court also directed the hospital authority not to perform any operation without the assistance of Anaesthetist.
Subsequently, the writ petition was disposed off.
The respondents listed in the case were the State of Manipur represented by Principal Secretary/Commissioner (Health and Family Welfare) and the Director of Health Services.
Subsequently Advanced Speciality Hospital and Research Institute has resumed its normal functions, according to a press release issued by the hospital's managing director Dr Ibomcha Thokchom.
