Factional clashes have resurfaced in Nagaland with renewed vigor.
All the three Naga underground factions are now literally engaged in clashes and now in Tuensang, Mon and Phek districts things are almost out of control.
The triangular factional clashes among the NSCN-IM, NSCN-K and the NNC/FGN which began since last week after a long gap of peace have till date have claimed at least eight militants' lives and injured scores of others.
The latest has been the killing of three underground cadres in Tuensang district on Monday night for which the NSCN-K has claimed responsibility.
The deceased were NSCN-IM cadres, claimed the Khaplang faction.
However, IM group has denied the claim of the K group.
On Sunday, reports said that one NSCN-IM cadre was killed and another injured in a clash between the FGN/NNC and the NSCN-IM cadres in Phek district.
A week ago an NSCN-K cadre was killed by rival NSCN-IM in a gun battle at a village in Tuensang district.
Sources from Tuensang district informed Newmai News Network that the clash had started again after almost one year of "peace".
Public leaders said that there fear psychosis has gripped the people of Mon, Tuensang and Phek districts of Nagaland for the last one week.
More clashes are expected in the days to come, said sources.
On November 2 Th Muivah had extended the olive branch to all the Nagas including the rival factions of the Nagas to which the NSCN-K had reportedly reciprocated.
Things however took a turn for the worse when the NSCN (IM) protested the talks held between Delhi and NSCN-K leaders in the capital.
