Three held for duping job seekers

Churachandpur police yesterday apprehended three suspected impostors who reportedly collected cash from a good number of people on the pretext of giving them jobs in a company known as Broadcasting Service Network Ltd Indian Mobile Service3G NE, Manipur.
With the police receiving inputs about the so-called company officials visiting the district, an alert was sounded which subsequently led to the detention of the three individuals from Saikot Muntha, about 5 kms from here.
Those detained by the police are I Kunjakeshore Singh (63) s/o (late) Pradeep of Waiton Awang Leikai, who supposedly was the Joint Director in the company; A Ibochaoba Singh (44) s/o Ibomcha Singh of Sagolband Yengkhom Leirak, the company's Deputy Chairman; and I Nilamani Singh (54) s/o Apabi of Lamboi Khongnangthong, who was an executive member in the company.
The police have till today withheld details of their investigation.
The police have however hinted on having a lead.
Earlier officials from the police claimed that the arrested men have no official document to validate that Broadcasting Service Network Ltd.
Indian Mobile Service3G NE, Manipur was not a bogus company.
An FIR under section 419/ 420/ 468/ 471/ 384/ 473/ 120-B of IPC was registered against the arrested men while the CJM has granted the police three days judicial custody.
Meanwhile, CJM Churachandpur sent to jail a 29-yrold man from Tripura reportedly for cheating 19 youths from his native state.
Tapas Sarkar of Bishalgarh South, Tripura West is said to have taken cash ranging from Rs.7,000 to Rs.10,000 from 19 youths in return for jobs.
He was however apprehended while trying to escort the youths into the BSF's subsidiary training centre at Mualkoi on February 28 .
As no one in the Centre knew Tapas, sources said, he was detained by the BSF officials and was later handed over to the police.
