To assess progress of the improvement works on National Highway 53 and to make a personal inquiry into the proposal for sprucing up Jiribam town, Works Minister Th Debendra, who is currently executing duty as the CM, will leave for Jiribam tomorrow.
Contrary to earlier schedule of the Minister to make the trip along the Imphal-jiribam highway, Debendra will fly to Silchar enroute to Jiribam, said a source.
Accompanied by National Building Construction Corporation Engineers and Associate Chief Town Planner, the Minister�s schedules include visiting temporary market construction site at Jiribam.
Under funding of Ministry of Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, Jiribam is set for a major face-lift with Jiribam Keithel also coming under the programme, said the source.
On the other hand, Th Debendra, who represents the sub-division constituency will be briefed by 36 BRTF officials regarding �work status� of NH-53 development, it informed.
