Imphal, October 06:
Throwing its weight behind the plebiscite proposal mooted by the UNLF to resolve the Indo-Manipur conflict, the proscribed PULF today said that it is a shame that largest democracy in the world, India is shying away from the holding such a democratic process.
In a statement, PULF said that ever since Manipur was annexed by India more than 50 years back all it has got are black laws and the excesses of security personnel and nothing else.
No infrastructure has been developed and no income generating scheme has been launched.
In fact it is on the agenda of the Indian Government to keep the people of Manipur and the North East underdeveloped to serve its own vested interest.
In the name of CI Ops countless number of people have been killed and tortured and many women molested and raped.
