432 Oxygen cylinders enroute to state

Imphal, May 21 2021:
As part of state government's plan for ensuring adequate supply of oxygen to COVID-19 patients, 250 empty D-type oxygen cylinders have reportedly reached Silchar (Assam) airport on Friday from a manufacturer based in Gujarat state.
This is the first consignment of the 2000 D-type oxygen cylinders ordered by the government of Manipur from the Gujarat-based firm.
The empty cylinders were received by Jiribam district administration as representative of Manipur government at Silchar airport and the same will be filled at an oxygen plant at Silchar and brought to Imphal.
These oxygen cylinders have been donated by National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) under its CSR programme.
Meanwhile.
182 more D-type oxygen cylinders for Manipur landed at Siichar airport on Friday.
Out of this, 105 cylinders were donated by Selco Foundation while 13 cylinders were donated by private donors from Kamjong district.
The rest of the empty oxygen cylinders were donatedby DCs of Churachandpur, Imphal East and Tamenglong districts.
All these cylinders were brought by Indian Air Force from Mumbai with the logistic support of Covid Rural Response of Souramdala Foundation.
