Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) interacts with local bodies in Wokha

Imphal, March 15 2014 :
Maj Gen M M Naravane, SM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), on his visit to Wokha interacted with the members of the Lotha HoHo, Kyong Eloe HoHo, representatives of Kyong Students Union, Wokha dist GB Union and Wokha dist chairman association on 12 Mar 2014. Civ society members put forward their point of views and issues related to development and upliftment of the district as a whole was discussed.
The IGAR emphasized on the importance of the civil society and the Assam Rifles to work together towards achieving a common goal of bringing about peace and tranquility in the state.
He also urged the civil society members to forward proposals for projects, which would be self sustaining and help in employment generation.
In the end he thanked everyone for supporting the Assam Rifles in accomplishing its task and looked forward for their continued support.
AR Conducts Medical Camp Kanjang Village .
A medical camp was organised by 46 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles on 13 Mar 2014 at Village Kanjang.
A total of 90 persons were examined by RMO 46 Assam Rifles and medicines were distributed.
It is the endeavor of security forces to provide best possible medical help to people staying in the remote areas of Phek.
Keeping in the requests and need more such camps are planned in the future as well.
