No pay, no work, says Kpi Anganwadi workers

Anganwadi Workers and Helpers under ICDS/CDPO Kangpokpi today expressed their discontentment over non-payment of their 14 months' due honorariums by the state government and turned down the recent assurance given by Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai to clear their honorarium only for five months.
The Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association, Kangpokpi Centre has also declared their fullest support to the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union Manipur(AWHUM) and other district based Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association or Organization in their demand for the same.
L.Nemvah, President of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association Kangpokpi Centre said, "In spite of our tremendous hardships due to non-payment of our honorarium for complete 14 months, the State Govt.is says that it is ready to clear our honorarium for only 5 months.
We are not in a position to accept the honorarium assured by the Social Welfare Minister.
We want complete clearance of our 14 months' due honorariums" .
The Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association Kangpokpi Centre also appealed to the CDPO Kangpokpi to deposit their due honorariums in their respective bank account and added that they will not accept to draw their due honorariums by any other means.
While the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association Kangpokpi Centre is supposed to organize a rally to lodge protest against non-payment of their 14 months' due honorariums, they also warned the state govt.of launching "No Pay No Work" agitation if it fails to fulfill their humble plea.
