Fund embezzlement alleged in S Kula Women's College

Teachers' Welfare Association (TWA) of S Kula Women's College, Nambol has demanded a probe into the alleged misappropriation of funds meant for the college.
Addressing a press meet in Imphal, S Kula Women's College TWA secretary Dr M Ratankumar informed that the association has decided to seek State Government's intervention on the alleged financial irregularities and also to dissolve the current Governing Body (GB) .
The association said it had submitted a memorandum in connection with the issue to the University authority, Higher and Technical Education Department on October 12 last.
The copies of the memorandum have been forwarded to the Education Minister, Chief Secretary, Commissioner Higher and Technical Education, VC of Manipur University etc.
At the press meet, Dr M Ratankumar also alleged that there has been an attempt to introduce B Ed Course in the college without having the required infrastructure and facilities.
He also alleged that in order to get fund, the college authority had been misguided on submitting "fake pictures/photos" to claim that the college has required infrastructure to the National Councils of Teacher Education (NCTE) and other authorities.
The TWA informed that S Kula Women's College was established in 1986 and it became a Government aided-college in 2011.The college currently has 26 departments with over 800 students.
