AR Post attacked at Behiang village

Imphal, July 09 2013:
Unidentified armed persons attacked the D-Coy Post of 39 Assam Rifles at Behiang village near Indo-Myanmar Border Pillar No.56 under Singhat Police Station in Chandel district at around 2 pm today.
According to police, the incident happened when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) hurled by unidentified persons exploded inside the Assam Rifles Camp.
The miscreants also fired five/six rounds.
The personnel of Assam Rifles retaliated with several gunshots.
However, there was no report of casualty on both sides.
