Imphal, July 09 2013:
The Khaplang-led NSCN faction has proposed to the Government of India for deliberating on the issue related to the June 22 incident in which six cadres were killed by troopers of Assam Rifles at Songlung village in Senapati district under contradictory claims.
In this regard, two members of Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB) of NSCN (K) namely Y Wangtin Naga and P Tikhak have jointly written to Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs (North East in charge) Shambhu Singh today.
In the letter, Y Wangtin and P Tikhak described the June 22 incident in which troops of 10 Assam Rifles under the command of Col Ajay Sharma allegedly killed six cadres of NSCN (K) in cold blood as 'ugly' .
Identifying the slain six NSCN (K) cadres as Lt Chujanglung s/o Kapukhin, Lt Raikam s/o Lamputa, Lt Moningam s/o Thanlim, 2nd Lt Manadai s/o Diamchoilung, Sm Ngonbui s/o Rainlak, Pte.
Raban s/o Raikamang, the letter recounted that on June 18 last, four cadres namely Lt Chujanglung, Lt Raikam, 2nd Lt Manadai and Sm Ngonbui were invited through Maj.
Rajanglung alias Maj.Raja to the 10 AR camp by Maj.
Gagan at Rongnai (Noney) .
Subsequently, on June 21 again, two more NSCN cadres namely Lt Moningam and Pte.
Raban were invited by Maj.
Gagan through Maj.
Rajanglung alias Maj.
Raja.
By afternoon of June 22, all the six NSCN cadres were already in 10 AR camp, and they were further taken to Songlung village along with AR jawans, where all of them were cold bloodedly murdered by 10 AR under the command of Col.Ajay Sharma and Maj.
Gagan.
Their own inhuman action of killing the six NSCN cadres brought fear in the minds of Col.Ajay Sharma and Maj.
Gagan, and thus, they were compelled to invite Maj.
Rajanglung on June 22 .
When Maj.
Rajanglung reached the 10 AR camp at around at 2:30 pm, he was kept under illegal confinement, threatening him of NSCN action, if he came out of their camp.
Since, Maj.
Rajanglung is the epi-centre of the entire ugly incident, joint interrogation of GoI and NSCN is inevitable for revelation of the fact.
So, GoI must initiate a proper investigation to unearth the truth and the culprits are booked as per the law, the two CFSB members demand.
They also maintained that the brutal action of 10 AR was nothing but credit hungry and it has directly tarnished the images of entire AR set up.
