Palace Take Over: Angering people won't do good, says Orgn

The move of the State Government to take over Sana Konung (Royal Palace) and shift the residence of the titular King to a nearby place is an act which could incite anger among the people and this will not bring any good to the society, Langol Ningthou Thougal Lup has exclaimed.
Continuing the protest against the decision of the State Cabinet to take over Sana Konung, a sit-in demonstration was staged at Chongabon, Sana Konung today.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the protest demonstration, Ch Onin Meetei, Secretary of Langol Ningthou Thougal Lup, stated that the Sana Konung, which is closely associated with the history of Manipur, should be left as it is.
So, the decision of the State Cabinet to take over Sana Konung should be revoked at once.
The steps being taken up by the State Government is against the interest of people, and Langol Ningthou Thougal Lup will support any public agitation to be launched if the State Government sticks to its decision, Onin made it clear.
