Hao Research Initiative clarifies on its statement

Regarding some errors in its press statement on Consultative Meeting held on 5 July, the Hao Research Initiative (HRI) has made certain clarifications on the statement made by Dr.R Sanga during the meeting.
What Dr.R Sanga actually said was that Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Act, 2013 of the Government of India did not apply to Jammu and Kashmir, so, the Act should also not be applied in Manipur, the clarification from Dr.Yaronsho Ngalung, President, THRI said.
Dr.R Sanga also said that the Scheduled Tribes and other Traditional Forest Dwellers ( A Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 and the New Land Use Policy/Project of Manipur as well as the MLR & LR Act, 1960 are not attracted to the Hill Peoples of Manipur.
He said certain Rules of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 as published in Manipur Gazette on 17 June, 2014 by Revenue Department cannot stand as they are against the Article 371C of the Indian Constitution and Hill Areas Committee Order, 1972.It is to be objected totally.
Dr.R Sanga said Article 371C should be invoked as this constitutional provision is the sustenance of the Hill Tribes of Manipur to be the bona-fide citizens of India, and all hindrances in implementation of Article 371C should be cleared to solve the present intricate tribal issues in Manipur for socio-economic and cultural development of the tribal/indigenous peoples.
