Apart from total devastation of atleast three classrooms, students as well as staff of Langmei Govt High School in Tamei sub-divisional headquarters are in a state of shock and confusion after a rainstorm struck the school on March 27, said a belated statement issued by the headmaster ZN Madenbou.
It is informed that the devastating rainstorm that hit the sub-divisional head-quarters caused irreparable loss to the school building even though no one suffered injuries.
While three of the classrooms collapsed from the impact of the strong wind partial damages had been caused to the walls, black boards, desks and benches, the headmaster said in the release received here today while adding that many of the CGI sheets were blown away beyond recovery.
The students and staff members of LHS are in a statement of confusion due to non availability of class rooms, it maintained.
