The proscribed RPF/PLA has contradicted the police claim as published in local media on April 4, that only one pistol with seven rounds and two mobile phone handsets were seized from the possession of PLA's Sgt Maj Nongmaithem Banner alias Norendro (31) s/o Sanggaijao of Kumbi Thingel Leikai when he was apprehended by a team of Imphal West commandos from Phumlou.
The outfit, in a press release issued by its Department of Publicity chief GM Changjou, contended that one Lugar PQ5DC (weapon no.316-06205) with one magazine, 10 live rounds, one Smith & Wesson (weapon no.459) with one magazine, 10 live rounds and one mobile handset (Nokia) were seized by the commandos from N Banner.
