National Integration Tour flagged off

Imphal, October 03 2015 :
Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles, Brig V T Mathew on behalf of Maj Gen V S Sreenivas, VSM**, IGAR (South) flagged off a 15 day-long National Integration Tour to Delhi - Agra from Thoubal in a grand ceremony held at Thoubal Football Ground on October 3 .
PRO HQ IGAR (S) said in a release that 24 school children and one civil teacher participated in the tour.
The tour under the initiative of IGAR (South) is an educational tour which will also encompass visits to important historical places in Delhi and Agra and will give an exposure to the children on the culture and heritage of India.
The tour also endeavours to show the children the rich cultural diversity of the Nation and educate them about people, languages, architecture and history of Incredible India, thus integrating students with pan-India in their vision and ambitions.
K Radhashyam Singh, SP, Thoubal and Ksh Lemba Singh, ADC/ADM Thoubal also attended the flag-off event.
