MBC brings together all under the spirit of Easter

Like in other parts of the world, Easter Sunday was observed today at various locations with the main programme organised at Imphal War Cemetery (Deulahland) and at Manipur Baptist Centre (MBC) Church.
A combined Easter Sunday Sunrise Service was held from 5 am at the War Cemetery under the aegis of all the Imphal Churches which was followed by Easter Sunday and Holy Communion at MBC Church from 7 am.
Among others the congregation at War Cemetery held on the theme 'Resurrection of Lord' was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Rishang Keishing, Thangsat Kipgen, Timothy Phaomei, Pastor (MBC Church) Rev L Simon Raomai and Dr Kanghar.
MBC choir members, harvest team, members of Tangkhul Baptist Church and Sunday School students also sang in praise of the Lord at the occasion.
Invoking blessing of the almighty, Rev Simon said crucifixion of Lord Jesus on Good Friday symbolises supreme sacrifice for mankind while Easter Sunday is being observed to mark Jesus Christ's resurrection.

He also prayed for the wellbeing of all the people of Manipur through peace and love for one another.
Reports have been received from various locations including at both the valley and hill areas of Easter Sunday observance.
At Noney sub-division, newly established Mokokchung unit of 10 Assam Rifles hosted the event along with inviting local leaders and students.
While Rev Sangaimei Gangmei, who is also the principal of TMA School, Longmai attended the observance at the guest speaker, CO of 10 AR Col Ajay Kumar welcoming all wished that Easter Sunday will herald a new dawn of peace, unity and development in the area.
