SFs apprehend three persons

Central security forces have reportedly apprehended two underground activists and a foreigner from different locations on April 23 .
A ZRA cadre claimed to have been arrested from Harouthil village by troops of 10 Dogra Regiment of 59 Mountain Brigade has been handed over to Imphal West police station along with one 7.65 mm pistol, one magazine and two live rounds recovered from the individual.
Identifying the arrested person as Mr Setsi of Harouthil village, a PIB (DW) release said he was involved in masterminding extortion and other illegal activities in the past.
On the otherhand, troops of 17 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector arrested one NSCN (K) cadre namely (No.5866) SS Major Romeo Pomei (30) s/o Inaocha Singh of Thanamba village in Kalapahar (Senapati district) from near Lamlong Gate of Ukhrul district at around 1 pm yesterday, according to a PRO IGAR (S) release.
Romeo along with one country-made pistol recovered from his possession has been handed over to Imphal police station.
Meanwhile, a Myanmarese national identified as Md Rafiq (27) s/o (L) Hassim of Aikiaf in Myanmar was pulled up by troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector from Tengnoupal area while the individual was travelling in a Maruti Van (MN04/A5418) without valid documents.
The individual, from whom a fake Indian driving license and Rs 210 Indian currency, has been handed over to Tengnoupal police station, added the PRO IGAR (S) release.
