The Cabinet decision to recruit police Constables is not related with the earlier decision to recruit 2000 Constables for which due process was initiated and stalled, Okendro stated.
The Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi resolved to create a Lairou sub-division by amalgamating 15 villages which are currently under Tadubi sub-division of Senapati district.
The new sub-division would have a total population of 23,155 and it would cover Maram Khullakpa Sagei, Maram Bazar, Maram Mathak Sagei, Maram Ramlong, New Maram, Maram Centre, Maram Makha Sagei, Lairouching, Khongnem, Mao Marafii, Maram Sagom-bam, Maram Kavanam, Puni Pfosemai, New Magaimai and Sadim Naga.
