Imphal, March 18 2016 :
The All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has urged the State Govt to take up appropriate measures to protect the interest of the staff of DRDA and absorb them in the line departments at the earliest.
In a statement, information and publicity secretary of ATSUM Micah Kamei said that the State Govt is yet to translate into action the Cabinet decision of Nov 2, 2010 which gave approval for regularisation of contractural DRDA staff who have been engaged through DPC duly constituted by the State Govt after due verification by the RD Dept.
The Ministry of Rural Development has also issued several instructions to the State Govt to take appropriate measures in accordance with the guidelines on DRDA administration.
However, nothing tangible has been taken up for the DRDA staff, ATSUM said.
ATSUM will no longer maintain its silence over the matter, it cautioned.
