Bandage found in excreta post surgery

While people of the State are expressing their utmost dis-content against doctors for their alleged negligence in duty, a post operative patient has found a three feet long bandage in her excreta following which the family mem- bers raised an uproar.
Briefing media persons at the residence of the patient at Tentha Khunou Awang Leikai in Thoubal District, the anguished family members have today demanded immediate enquiry into the matter within five days counting Sunday as day one and further announced that strong agitation would be launched if the demand is not translated into action with the stipulated time.
Narrating the story of the disgraceful event, the son of the patient Thangjam Nilo conveyed that his mother Tombimacha (66), w/o Pishak was admitted to Langol View Charitable Clinic on April 22 and the patient was operated by Dr Joykumar on April 24 to remove calculus from gallbladder following which she was discharged from the clinic on April 29 with an advice for necessary check up after a month.
In the meantime, the condition of the patient did not see any improvement and two checkups were done on May 31 and July 7 respectively at the same clinic, informing the concerned doctors of the deteriorating health condition of the patient.
But the doctors did not listen to the complaint, Nilo narrated.
In such situation, the patient again was readmitted to the same clinic on July 16 and Dr Amitkumar, after seeing the result of Ultrasound, commented that the patient may be suffering from cancer and referred the patient to RIMS hospital.
Accordingly, Nilo further continued, that his mother was admitted in RIMS hospital on July 17 last and operated on July 19 by Dr Ranita Devi at RIMS hospital.
A portion of cell of the patient was sent to Babina diagnosis for necessary test and the result said that it was a case of hernia which had developed tumor in its last stage.
The patient was discharged on July 30 last.
All of sudden, the patient excreted three feet long bandage on August 2 following which the patient gets some relief, Nilo conveyed He demanded an en- quiry to find out which hospital had committed the mistake while performing operation upon his mother.
