ZB threatens to call back Zeliangrong students from Maram

While condemning the alleged life attempt on Ringsanbou Newmai, Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland)/ ZB-AMN and Zeliangrong Baudi-Manipur (ZB-M) have threatened to call back students of Zeliangrong community from Maram if the attack on them continues.
Ringsanbou Newmai of Langmai village, Tamei is now fighting for his life at ICU of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal.
The ZB-AMN and ZB-M said Ringsanbou Newmai is a student of Bachelor of Arts (History Hon) 5th Semester in Don Bosco Maram and he suffered severe internal injuries including damage liver, intestine, broken jaw and cuts on his entire body because of the beating with iron rod after hands and legs were tied.
Contending that such cruelty amounts to murder and it is a serious crime, ZB-AMN and ZB-Manipur said they will not remain a mute spectator and take any course of action if anything goes wrong from bad to worst on the victim's health.
"If the attack on the Zeliangrong students continues, then situation may compel the students belonging to Zeliangrong community to be called back and be transferred from Don Bosco Maram.
Proper compensation along with victim's expenditures on medical expenses should be refunded adequately.
The culprits also should be produced to the concern authorities and be given befitting punishment.
The said warden of Josephine Girl's Hostel who called the culprits to perform the demonic task has deliberately shown to have bad intention," the ZB-AMN and ZM stated.
The ZB-AMN and ZB-M also condemned the state machinery and authorities on the incident of the pregnant woman of Tousem village of Tamenglong district who had to travel 45 km across jungles on foot to reach hospital and consequently gave birth in the jungle unattended.
"It is fortunate that the women survive even after a profuse bleeding.
The state government who satirically treat the Tousem villagers and general populace of hills is a crime against humankind," the ZB-AMN and ZB-M stated.
"The Tousem sub-division has been reeling under pathetic conditions with no facilities of electricity, Health care center, transport and communication system and other statutory daily necessities which have been relatively deprived due to government's apathy," they stated.
According to the ZB-AMN and ZB-M, the Tousem villagers have been suffering diversely because of the government negligence and sparing treatment towards the villagers.
"We demand immediate ramification and installation of proper health clinic with sufficient infrastructures and staffs to garner the maintenance and facilitate the dire needs of the Tousem Sub-Division.
The unfortunate incident of treating human being as wild animals should not be repeated by the government," the Zeliangrong organisations added.
