Imphal, August 31 2019:
The Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) has categorically stated that any solution worked out between the Government of India (GoI) and NSCN-IM must not impinge upon the interests of Manipur.
Speaking to media persons at a Jama Masjid located at Lilong Keithel, Thoubal district this afternoon, MMWO advisor Md Rabi Khan said that any solution which challenges the integrity of Manipur and the sanctity of its territorial boundary would not be accepted.

He said that a campaign would be launched from today at all the areas inhabited by Meitei Pangals so that this message reaches GoI.
Islamic religious leaders, teachers and members of All Lilong Anti-Drug Association (ALADA) were also present at the press meet.
Md Rabi Khan said that the protracted political dialogue has been creating uneasiness and serious apprehensions among the people of Manipur at different phases.
If one studies the dynamics of the political dia- logue from 1997, it appears that the political dialogue has reached a final stage of settlement, he remarked.
After a Framework Agreement was signed between GoI and NSCN-IM on August 2015, Interlocutor RN Ravi was recently appointed Governor of Nagaland.
Meanwhile, media reports have hinted that New Delhi is keen to conclude the political dialogue within three months.
All these developments are being monitored closely by several CSOs.
In the same spirit, MMWO would be undertaking an extensive campaign at all areas inhabited by Meitei Pangals, Rabi Khan said.
This campaign would also carry the message that Meitei Pangals are prepared to defend the integrity of Manipur and the sanctity of its territorial boundary, he asserted.
Saying that the campaign would be jointly organised by MMWO, ALADA, CSOs and Madrassas, he sought mass support to the campaign.
MMWO president Abdullah Pathan Phundreimayum said that any solution which impinges upon the collective interest of Manipur would not be tolerated.
Before sealing a final solution, GoI must consult all stake holders.
If GoI commits the blunder of overlooking people's collective interest there would be unprecedented civil movement in the State, he warned.
