IRB candidates appeal Government to fix date for written test

Urging the State Government to declare a final date for the written test of the 2019 recruitment of personnel in the 10 and 11 Bn Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), aspiring candidates today said that they may launch intense agitation if their appeals are not heard at the earliest.
During a sit-in protest at Keishampat Keisham Leikai Community Hall, Demand Committee for Speedy Completion of IRB 10 & 11 Recruitment, convenor Mathew Golmei said that the physical test for recruitment of 1,350 personnel was held in March 2019 .
However, the written test is yet to be held as it got postponed thrice, he said.
"The written test was first scheduled to be held on March 16 .
It got postponed and June 15 was fixed again.
However, it was never held and later August 5 was set for the written test which never happened," he said claiming that Chief Minister N Biren Singh had assured to finish the recruitment process within '6 months' .
If the Government does not declare a final date for the written test and confirm whether it will be held before September 5 or later, the demand committee will be launching intense agitations from September 6, he said.
