Imphal, December 23 2015:
Apart from ensuring distribution of 306 LPG refills daily to consumers on an average, 15 consumers under Heirok Indane Gramin Vitrak, Thoubal district, who have received seven LPG refills so far, are said to be at the 'average' consumption range.
The distributor has about 682 active consumers.
Among them, 673 are DBTL consumers.
From April till date this year, 102 consumers have received 6 LPG refills each while 135 consumers have received five LPG refills each.
187 consumers have received four LPG refills each, 146 consumers have received 3 refilled LPG cylinders each, 57 consumers have received two LPG refills each and 20 consumers have received one refill each.
There are 24 consumers whose LPG refill delivery is pending so far.
The distributor has cleared all booking made till Dec 15, as per official records submitted to the IOC.
The distributor is included in the excellent category on the basis of its performance.
It may be mentioned that there is apparent lack of monitoring on the part of IOC on about 64 LPG distributors in the State.
The absence of LPG Area Manager of the IOC in Imphal area is attributed for the lack of monitoring on distributors.
Meanwhile, some LPG distributors told The Sangai Express that they have started discussion among themselves about the non-uniformity of new connection charges.
The distributors' association had earlier decided not to charge more than Rs 2000 for new connection as agency charge.
The distributors said that the current rate for new connection (ie Rs 9000 to Rs 9500 for double cylinders and Rs 7000 to Rs 7500 for single cylinder) is likely to drop to some extent if and when the distributors charge Rs 2000 as agency charge uniformly.
