Kangpokpi, December 23 2015:
Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Sadar Hills and Thadou Students' Association (TSA), Sadar Hills today asked educational institutions within Sadar Hills who have submitted application form for the HSLC Examination, 2015 to withdraw the same at the earliest, our correspondent reports.
The student bodies in a joint press statement said that some private educational institutions in Sadar Hills have submitted HSLC Examination, 2016 application forms against the instructions of KSO and All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) .
KSO and ANSAM instructed all private schools in the hill districts to withhold submission of application forms for HSLC Examination, 2016 in protest against the State Government's apathy to the demand of the student bodies to revoke the Government order on March 2013 which removed Additional English from the scheme of study of standard IX and X under BOSEM.
Hill Districts Private Schools' Association, Manipur (HiDIPSAM) also directed all schools located in the entire hill districts of Manipur to adhere to the instructions issued by KSO and ANSAM and to put on hold the submission of HSLC Examination 2016 application form, it added.
The students bodies, in the joint statement, appealed to all the educational institutions within Sadar Hills who have submitted the said forms to immediately withdraw the forms as per the instructions of the student bodies in the interest of the student community.
The bodies also warned initiation of appropriate actions against schools which fail to withdraw the application forms and flout the appeal of KSO and TSA Sadar Hills.
