Fitting homage paid to Sanajaoba

The 6th death anniversary of Ojha Sanajaoba was observed today at the Ojha Sanajaoba Memorial Complex located at Lairikyengbam Makha Leikai, Imphal.
Organized by the Ojha Sanajaoba Memorial Trust (OSMT), the anniversary witnessed floral tributes being paid to the late think tank popularly known as 'Ojha' to many people.
Known as the father of social works, president of Irabot Foundation Th Iboyaima attended the observation as chief guest while president of OSMT Prof N Rajmuhon was the functional president.
Among the guests of honour were executive director of Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) Dr Immanuel Zarzosang Varte, president of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur (Poirei Leimarol) L Memchoubi Leima, Director of MOBEDS Md Salaudin and co-ordinator of Centre for Human Rights and Duties Education, Manipur University Dr Gaikhamsing Riamei.

Late Professor Naorem Sanajaoba was remembered by Iboyaima as a champion whose idea and thoughts stressed on developing the human resources of Manipur.
He stressed on the importance for the coming generations to follow Ojha Sanjaoba's footsteps and ensure development.
Addressing the occasion, Dr Immanuel asserted that late Naorem Sanajaoba's credential as a scholar and as a teacher is beyond doubt.
He emphasized on the groundworks laid down by the late Professor to fight for the people's rights which have been curtailed after Manipur merged with the Indian Union.
Further he said that all must act in tandem with the philosophy and thoughts of the late Ojha.
He urged the people to start working as one with no boundaries and bring about a political awakening to realise what the late Professor worked on.
Meanwhile advisor of AMUCO KT Rahaman said that late Professor Naorem Sanajaoba was a scholar who showed the paths of Nationalism to all communities.
His demise was an irreparable loss for not only for Manipur but also for the entire North East region, he added.
Md Salaudin stressed the need to instil the philosophy and teachings of Ojha Sanajaoba on the younger generations.
Functional president Prof N Rajmuhon said that Ojha Sanajaoba was a true architect of the future of the entire North Eastern region.
He added that younger generations need to acquaint themselves with the teachings and thoughts of Sanajaoba.
He further said that the late Professor worked to unite all the ethnic communities of Manipur and it would be more beneficial if people continue in his footsteps of a united place.
Gaikhamsin Riamei said that Ojha Sanajaoba was a dedicated advocate of international laws had all the laws on human rights on his fingertips.
It is the duty of the present generation to work collectively and become conscious of Sanajaoba's dream of a new Manipur where people enjoy human rights.
