The state administration, taking its first major decision to bring the school education sector of the state into proper shape, has decided to institute a task force for tackling the job.
The task force will be headed by the state advocate general, Asok Potsangbam, as the chairman, the secretary, education (s) as member secretary, and secretary law L Ibomcha as member.
Sources said the task force will examine all the posts which have been filled up by adhoc promotion.
All the promotional posts in the education (s) department such as AI, DI, headmasters of junior schools and high schools, and principals of higher secondary schools will be filled up on regular basis by conducting DPC through Manipur Public Service Commission, MPSC.
The task force, after considering the seniority of the eligible employees will send up the requisite information to the MPSC within a period of one month for filling up the promotional posts by proper DPC.
The task force will also examine all the pending court cases in the department to make it a case free department soon.
All the pending court cases will be categorized as per the grade within three day�s period.
