Speaker greets on Good Friday

Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Th Lokeshwar Singh has greeted the people of the State particularly the Christians on the occasion of Good Friday.
In his message, Th Lokeshwar called upon all concerned to reflect on the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ in order to bring peace on Earth.
On the occasion, the Speaker urged all to re-dedicate themselves cutting across communal and religious lines in bringing a peaceful atmosphere in the State.
Meanwhile Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) Maj Gen UK Gurung and all ranks of Assam Rifles have extended their warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Good Friday.
May this day offer an opportunity to the people of Manipur to come together and work towards peace and prosperity, said the Major General in his message.
The GOC Red Shield Division Maj Gen Binoy Poonnen and all ranks of the Division have also conveyed warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Easter Sunday.
God so loved man that he gave his only son, so that man may be saved, quoted the GOC in his message while highlighting that Easter Sunday is the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus', bringing in fresh hope and love of the almighty for the salvation of Mankind.
He also expressed hope that this Easter will herald a new dawn, bring fresh hope and promises of peace, harmony and tranquillity among the people so that Manipur may flourish and be blessed with everlasting peace.
