Anti-Malaria month observance begins in Chandel

The observance of Anti Malaria Month in Chandel district kick-started today by Th.Chittaranjan Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel in a function held at Conference Hall of Chandel District Hospital.
Organised by District Vector Borne Disease Control Society, Chandel under National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, the function was presided over by Dr..NBirchandra Singh, Chief Medical Officer Chandel.
During the function attended by ASHAs and Angandwadi workers from different villages, Expert Doctors from the District elaborated on topics relating to spread of vector borne diseases and their preventive measures to be taken up.
While speaking at the function, Dr..NBirchandra Singh, CMO Chandel said that Chandel District is one of the most vulnerable Districts in the State to Vector borne diseases like Malaria, Dengue, Japanese Encephalitis, etc.
Recently, suspected case of Dengue was detected at Moreh town and blood sample of other suspicious patients were also sent for laboratory test, he added.
So, every organizations and individuals including ASHAS should also take the responsibility to eradicate these diseases, said the Chief Medical Officer.
