Monitoring Cell instituted to curtail Dengue spread

Imphal, November 15 2011:
To curtail the outbreak of Dangue in Churachandpur district, a district level Monitoring Cell is being instituted.
A visiting team comprising of 20 doctors are all set to check every household in the district.
Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur will be the Chairman of the newly formed District Level Dangue Monitoring Cell and DRDA Churachandpur will be the Vice Chairman.
Dr Laishong CMO of Churachandpur will be the member Secretary.
Churachandpur SP, M Rajen, Medical Superintendent of Churachandpur District Hospital, Dr P Ningja, Medical Officer, Dr Thengkhel and Dr Hamthang are among other members in the Cell.
Meanwhile, a meeting was convened yesterday at Churachandpur to discuss about the measures in controlling Dangue.
The meeting was attended by Power Minister Phungzathang Tonsing and other concern officials including DC, CMO and other doctors.
Minister Phungjathang Tonsing also assured to give financial help in battling the dreaded disease.
