State BJP delegates meet Union Civil Aviation Minister

Imphal, July 16 2014:
A delegation of BJP Manipur unit led by its president Th.Chaoba, which is currently camping in New Delhi, called on Ashok Ganapati Raju, Union Minister of Civil Aviation at his Office Chamber at Safdarjung, New Delhi today.
During the 40-minute long meeting, the State delegates highlighted various issues related to Aviation sector in Manipur including the demands for immediate restoration of Imphal-Silchar flights and demands for increasing of flight baggage allowances from 15 kg to 25 kg for all Imphal bound flights, said a press release by L.Bashanta Sharma, State General Secretary (Media) BJP Manipur Pradesh.
Student communities of the State who are travelling on Imphal-Delhi, Imphal-Kolkata, Imphal-Guwahati flights face hardships due to minimum flight baggage allowances, the delegates apprised the Union Minister, who later advised the concerned officials to expedite the process for redressing the demands raised by State delegates on priority.
The state BJP delegation, among others, included state secretaries Asnikumar and Bashanta Sharma, former Minister Haokholet Kipgen and active member Sushildro.
