THE JOINT Administrative Council (JAC) undergoing pen-down strike today while justifying their demands has urged the Manipur government to fulfill their demands so that employees and pensioners of the state could get the same benefits that enjoying by the employees of the Central and other state governments in the country.
A statement of the JAC said that delay in the implementation of the recommendation of the sixth pay commission is the looser of the employees and pensioners of the state.
Government will never pay them with interest when its get implement with delay.
On the other hand employees and pensioners have already started using goods which the prices have already been hike after the Centre had implemented the sixth pay commission's pay structures to the employees of the Central government, it added.
In the pass experience, state government had never paid the TA and DA of its employees well in time.
Apart from this government had not paid out a TA and DA of the employees and pensioners at several occasions, it said citing that even though the 12th finance commission come up, the arrears to be got during the 11th commission had not given.
In such situation without submitting utilization certificates for the payment of arrears of the 12th finance commission, how state government can avail funds from the 13th finance commission, it asked while expressing their suspicion of government diverting the funds mean for the employees arrears.
