ILP Protest continues

Supporting the people's demand to implementation of ILPS in the State, Manipur State Council, CPI staged a sit-in protest on Friday at the community hall of Keishampat Keisham Leikai on Friday.
Terming the ongoing mass movement as reasonable, CPI Manipur State Council Secretary, Dr M Nara said that even the Indian Constitution allows a community to safeguard from extinction.
Blaming the State Govt for delaying the issue, the Secretary added that people's trust in Govt has eroded as the Govt is fumbling the issued.
Further condemning for shutting down all educational institutes in Imphal area, CPI Manipur State Council also urged the Govt to upgrade late Sapam Robinhood's school to a model school apart from installing a memorial statue of the student, who sacrificed his life for the people.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Arts and Culture Students' Union strongly condemned those people who are using substances in the name of supporting the ILPS movement which has caused harassment to people especially the media men and medical staff during their duties.
Warning for more unwanted situations, Imphal East United Clubs' Organisation appealed to the State Govt to work sincerely to handle the ongoing ILPS issue.
The organization also condemned all Govt employees of Manipur for not supporting and directly participating in the movement.
While citing Telangana for which Govt employees had protested against their own govt, the organization made an appeal to all the Govt employees of the State to sincerely support the ongoing mass movement for safeguarding the indigenous communities of Manipur.
CPI (M-L) Liberation Manipur State Committee also blamed the State Govt for playing delaying tactics on the people's issue and demanded inclusion of five points of JCILPS in the draft bill and resignation of all MLAs.
Supporting ILPS movement, Naharol Yaiphakol (NYK) on Friday staged a sit-in protest at Naorem Leikai community hall.
All Manipur Social Service Association (AMSSA) also staged a sit-in protest at Keishamthong Keithel demanding immediate implementation of ILP system in Manipur.
