PWD likely to come out with another circular

With regard to the maximum weights transport vehicles can carry on National Highways inside Manipur, PWD's National Highway Circle is likely to come out with another circular/notification shortly.
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) issued a notification on October 18, 1996 specifying the maximum weights for transport vehicles on National Highways.
The Ministry issued a modified notification on January 1, 2016.Subsequent upon the Ministry's modified notification, PWD National Highway Circle Superintending Engineer sent an intimation to the Transport Director about 'allowable maximum gross vehicle weights' on December 16, 2017 .
The SE's intimation was about maximum weights permissible to transport vehicles having four-wheels, six-wheels and ten-wheels but it did not mention anything about transport vehicles having 12-wheels.The SE's intimation also did not mention about truck-trailer combinations which can carry up to 36.6 tonnes and 44 tonnes.
As such, PWD's National Highway Division is likely to come out with another notification/circular shortly, informed a source.
