BCAC continue to lead in State Archery C'ship

Imphal, January 19 2018:
BCAC with 13 gold, 9 silver and 6 gold medals are on the top of the medal tally in the ongoing 32nd Sub-Junior and Junior and 29th State Archery Championship 2018 while SAIRC with 10 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals are following them very closely.
The championship is being organised by Manipur Archery Association at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
M Rupan (142 pt) of SAIRC, Suchitra Tourangbam (140 pt) of VAA and L Dulina of ACE secured the first, second and third position respectively in the Individual Compound event for junior girls staged today.
In a similar event for junior boys, S Rajendro hit 143 points to finish first while Ch Ajay and Wilson T finished second and third.
In the junior boys compound team event, S Rajendro, Wilson T and Teuton Khuman scored 215 points and finished first while the team of Erwin Laishram, O Henary and A Samananda representing VAA were able to finish second with 187 points.
Vivekananda Konsom, N Deepak and Kh Nelson of ACE claimed the third spot with 187 point in this event.
The BCAC team comprising of W Maleshsori, Kh Malemnganbi, I Abesana and W Brojeshwori scored 6 points to finished first in the junior girls Indian Round team event.
YAC and NSA claimed the second and the third position in this event.
In the State Archery Championship which began today, P Soniya of YAC scored 328 points to win the Indian Round 30 m event for senior girls.
W Malesori of BCAC and Kumari Sapana Singh of ARAC finished second and third in this event.
W Malesori Devi scored 311 points in the Indian Round 50 m girls' event to claim the first position while Kumari Sapana and Soniya Devi finished second and third.
In the Indian Round 30 m event for boys, H Bijendranath of FAC finished first with 343 points while Ch Boris of BCAC and Ch Harichandra of ARAC secured the second and third position.
Mayanglambam Sunder Singh of FAC hit 333 points in the senior boys Indian Round 50 m event to fetch a gold while H Bijendranath of the same unit finished second.
Th Langamba of SICA claimed the bronze medal in this event.
