Susindro dedicates community hall

A community hall constructed at the cost of around Rs 30 lakh at Kongpal Kongkham Leikai was inaugurated today with Ehurai AC MLA L Susindro and retired Head Pandit M Manglem gracing the inauguration function as the chief guest and president respectively.
Ex-Minister N Bihari Singh; Ng Ranbir Singh, president, BJP Mandal; M Tomba Singh, Zilla Parishad, Khurai Chingangbam Leikai; L Kahonbala Devi, Pradhan, Khurai Chingangbam Leikai GP; I Sunil Singh, Upa-Pradhan and A Bihari Singh, retired Labour Officer, MSRTC were present as guests of honour.
Speaking at the function, Susindro said that the community hall was constructed following a proposal submitted to him by the locals.
Dedicating the community hall to the locals, he appealed to the locals to regard the hall as their own property and maintain cleanliness in using it.
He assured that beautification of the hall will be maintained and for this he would extend all possible help.
The MLA asserted that Khurai AC was lagging behind in many spheres in the past 15 years but now many changes have been witnessed in the constituency.
Pointing out that Khurai AC is vulnerable to flood due to heavy rainfall causing many inconveniences to the people, he appealed to the locals to use drain properly to enable water flow without any obstruction.
He sought support and suggestions from the locals in making Khurai as one of the developed constituencies.
