JAC react against Kabita's threat to Sanjoy's mother

Imphal, May 04 2011:
The JAC against the custodial death of Salam Sanjoy alias Bono today in a press meet held at the Manipur Press Club said that Kabita Ningthoujam, president Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) state unit will be responsible for any untoward incident happened to the family members of the deceased Sanjoy.
A spokesperson of the JAC said that DGP, Manipur Police Y Joykumar called both Kabita and Sanjoy's mother Shushila at his office at Police HQ for negotiation on May 2 .
Kabita in front of DGP threatened Sushila of dire consequences if she was further dragged in the death case of Sanjoy as an accused, the JAC alleged.
The spokesperson further said that Kabita will be held responsible for any untoward incidents happened to Sushila and her family.
He also condemned the statement of BSP that supporting the statement of 12 MLI which claimed that Sanjoy died of drug overdose which the JAC strongly opposed.
He questioned why BSP take much interest in the issue when the PM report is yet to come.
It may be mentioned that Sanjoy son of Salam Kamani of Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak was rushed to RIMS hospitals after he was taken to the custody of 12 MLI for surrender by Kabita.
Hospital authority confirmed that Sanjoy was brought dead.
While family members and local people blamed 12 MLI for his death, a statement of PRO IGAR (S) claimed that Sanjoy died of drug overdose.
Sushila said that BSP state unit president, Kabita contacted 12 MLI about the surrender and the later took Sanjoy into their custody from Kabita's residence on the faithful day.
While strongly condemning and denying the statement of the 12 MLI, Sushila demanded appropriate action against the accused personnel of 12 MLI and Ningthoujam Kabita.
