Chronicling the events and recording the events by the present generation will easily enable the future generation to study
the history.
Since the Manipuri people have the wont to neglect maintenance of records, the people have faced difficulty in tracing the past events.
This was stated by Prof HNK Sharma, Pro-VC of Manipur University while speaking at the inaugural function of the 40th National Service Scheme (NSS) Foundation Day held at the Senate Hall of MU under the aegis of NSS Cell, MU.
Delivering the chief guest speech, Prof HNK Sharma urged the gathering to maintain records in order to facilitate easy contact with the future generation.
The occasion was also graced by the Youth President of NSS Regional Centre, Guwahati, Nakul Chandra and former Programme Coordinator of NSS Cell, MU, Dr N Ibotombi as the guests of honour while the president was NSS Cell Programme Coordinator of MU, A Rajmani.
