Consultative meeting held

A one-day consultative meeting on 'Human Trafficking & Drug Menace' was held at the conference hall of Moreh Trade Center today.
The consultative meeting was jointly organized by Manipur State Legal Service Authority together with Manipur High Court Bar Association while Manipur High Court Judge Justice Kh Nobin Singh, Advocate General Manipur N Kumarjit Singh and Sr Advocate & President High Court Bar Association Manipur HS Paonam attended the event as dignitaries.
SP Tengnoupal District Dr S Ibomcha Singh, Additional SP Kh Robinsun, SDPO IPS Sandip Gopal Das, Major 43 Assam Rifle RK Sharma and other officers of Tengnoupal and Moreh Police also attended the programme.
During the consultative meet, issues of illegal drugs and human trafficking at Indo-Myanmar Border were discussed.
Occurrence of cases of illicit drugs and human trafficking at Indo-Myanmar Border can be prevented if proper fencing are erected along the border, said Major RK Sharma, Assam Rifle while distinguished Judges also assured that a memorandum will be submitted to the State Govt after thorough deliberations on the suggestions shared by police and Assam Rifle officials.
