Five new cases, 13 recoveries reported

Imphal, August 29 2022:
Government bulletins on Monday reported five new positive cases of Covid 19 in the state from two districts out of 464 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, recording a positivity rate of 1.1 per cent.
The five fresh cases (2 males & 3 females) are residents of Imphal West (1) and Churachandpur (4) districts.
Monday also reported 13 recoveries from home isolation (11), JNIMS (1) and CAPF facility (1).Number of active cases has come down to 56, out of which 33 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Monday and the death toll stands at 2147 lives including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,682 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 57 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 144 D-type and 34 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 814 vaccine doses administered on Sunday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,28,281, out of which 13,02,414 had received the second dose and 2,41,949 had taken the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49769), Imphal East (32015), Thoubal (10288), Churachandpur (11266), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9968), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3362), Kakching (6971), Chandel (2789), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
