Moirang locals storm

Maternal family of Nirupama together with a large number of Moirang locals today tried to ransack her husband Nitin's house located at Singjamei Chingamathak.
Konjengbam Ningol Haobijam Ongbi Nirupama (27) was found hung to death in her rented house at Gabhapur, Kolkata on July 9 .
Nirupama was working as a nurse in KTC Hospital, Kolkata together with her husband.
At around 2.30 pm, a large number of people from Moirang, locality of Nirupama's maternal home, came in 4-5 buses and stormed her in-law's house demanding Nitin be produced before them.
A woman said that Nitin's family has not shared any information about the incident to Nirupama's parents till date.
A large number of police personnel of Singjamei Police Station led by SDPO Singjamei arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.
Nirupama's body was brought from Kolkata to Imphal in a flight at around 2 pm today.
Moirang locals took out a rally carrying Nirupama's body from Imphal to her native place, where her last rites were performed amidst an emotionally charged atmosphere.
Nirupama, who was working as a nurse in KTC Hospital Kolkata, was staying in a rented house with her husband at Gabhapur area of the city.
Her husband is also working in the same hospital as a male nurse.
