Imphal, December 10 2014:
Registering strong condemnation of the government's failure to issue appointment order to 315 Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) candidates who have faced written test successfully for recruitment to the post way back in 2010, All ASI Selected Candidates' & Guardians' Association staged a sit-in-protest at THAU Ground bus stand, Imphal West today.
According to some protesters, written test for recruitment to the post of ASI was held in 2010 of which the result was declared in 2013 and subsequently conducted viva-voice of the selected candidates in May of the year.
Above all, proper verification of the selected candidates numbering 315 has been also completed long time back but they are yet to get appointment order without giving any specific reason behind it, they lamented.
Reiterating that numerous memorandums were submitted to Chief Minister; Home Minister; Chief Secretary and DGP on the matter but no step has been taken up till date to provide appointment order, they demanded appointment order be given to all the selected candidates before the commencement of winter Assembly session failing which the association will resort to launch different forms of intense agitation.
They pledged that sit-in-protest demonstration would continue until appointment order is issued to all the selected candidates.
